A PITCH FIT FOR PROS
Our full-size 3rd generation artificial, floodlit pitch is perfect for play all year round. Using the latest technology the artificial turf is cushioned on sand and filled with rubber pellets providing a totally natural feeling for the sportsperson.
It has the same shock absorbency as soil and natural turf which is kind on the muscles and joints. The area's top youth players from Hitchin Town FC and Luton Town FC are amongst many reaping the rewards of what it has to offer. The ground itself is fully flexible to meet the needs of different groups. It can be used as one full-size pitch, divided into thirds for smaller sided games and training, or into mini pitches for mini football, tournaments and other sports.
Spectators can also sit back and enjoy the surroundings with a covered seating area and stands.
CHANGING ROOMS
Four large changing rooms with shower facilities and lockers mean that the centre can be used by several different groups at the same time. Along with ample parking, The Arena is ideal for tournaments and business leagues.
An on-site medical room is available for treating and providing physiotherapy for the players, with separate changing facilities for match officials available, as well as a walk-in disabled shower.
MEETING ROOMS
Conveniently located just off junctions 9 and 10 of the A1, and with ample parking, this modern facility provides the ideal training and/or conference venue for football teams, businesses, schools and colleges.
We have two separate rooms, each with a projector and interactive whiteboard, available to hire for meetings, small conferences, training sessions, team building exercises, presentations, and lots more. CAFE & BAR
You'll get a warm welcome at the The Arena Café & Bar, with modern surroundings and two plasma screens, it's a smart venue to have a drink and a snack. We'd be pleased to see you whether you've come to play or watch football or simply want to drop in for a coffee and a bite to eat during the day.
The bar area is available for hire for daytime meetings, private parties, functions and lots more. We have special packages for birthday parties, end of season presentations and Christmas do's, which can combine use of the pitch too! We can also supply catering to suit your needs.
